Good news first: Jamison and wife Hanny are expecting their first child this August! Congratulations to the expectant parents!

Now, for the bad news: Jamison’s cameo in Lost Boys 2: The Tribe has been cut. Jamison will not be appearing in the sequel to The Lost Boys.

Stunned? Confused? Incredibly ticked? Then by all means, comment on this post. I want all of your thoughts and questions on this matter, because Jamison and I are going to do an exclusive interview about this, and I want to include visitors’ reactions and any questions you may have for Jamison. The more input you give, the more you’ll find out in the upcoming interview. So, be sure to show Jamison your support and fire away with those questions and comments!

  1. Man, this is terrible. It isn’t even a true return of the Lost Boys!

How come it appears there is such big usage of Jamison’s character in the comic series (Reign of Frogs) but not in the new film, where a cameo would be awesome?

  2. WTF? First they make Grandpa a vampire and now this? WTF? Honestly, I don’t get it. I’m peeved.

  3. Sammy, I’ve cross-posted this in a bunch of places. This is just . . . blech.

How does Jamison feel about it all? And what does this do for his chances of appearing in the proposed third film that’s been running about on the web? How is this going to be explained in the movie? Does it? Or will we have to rely on whatever information we get from the comic books to answer any questions we may have? Did Jamison have an inkling this might happen, considering the size of his role in comparison to Feldman’s? I know he was pretty excited about this sequel. How does he feel about it now? It’s not the Frog brother. It’s the FROG BROTHERS. Plural. I just don’t get it.

The rumblings I’m getting from the fans of the original are not good to begin with. Add to that what they did with Grandpa in the comic book and once they read about this, it’s not going to be pretty.

Aside from that, congratulations, Jamison! He’s going to make a great dad. I’m sure him and Chance will have playdates together!

  4. After seeing LB2, at least there was enough left in the movie for Alan Frog to be in any sequel (doubt a sequel will happen). They could use those 2 or 3 lines about Alan and go in any of a dozen directions with it.

In fact, I would have preferred to have seen Alan Frog instead of Haim’s character in the tag (minus the cheesy dialogue). At least that would have made sense in what was presented, and gave Edgar SOME kind of closure to his part of the story.

There was so much potential in LB2, especially where the Frogs are concerned. It seems as if they wasted a fantastic opportunity for Edgar Frog to have a major subplot. While the bro & sis were fighting the head honcho, Edgar could have been resolving his arc with his brother or kicking vampire a$$ to deal with his personal demons (which i’m sure at that age, the Frog brothers would surely have)

C’mon! Would 5 or 10 more minutes devoted to the Frogs hurt this movie!?

In short, LB2 came off as being a script rushed into production to cash in on something. Too bad it’s been years in the making, if they would’ve put a little heart into the story, the buzz of THE LOST BOYS 2 would’ve been through the roof, even with a direct to dvd release.
