About the Website: This site was created to recognize the work and talents of Jamison Newlander, and to give his fans a site to view pictures and find out more about him. We hope you will enjoy your visit, and will come back soon. We welcome any suggestions you have to improve this site.
Please respect our privacy, and do not ask to get directly in contact with Jamison. If you have something you’d like to say to Jamison, visit the Fan Corner area of this site to find out how you can submit a message or question to him.
Website Genesis: I started this site in 2000, I believe it was, because I thought that Jamison’s career information should be collected in one place so that his fans could more easily keep up with him. I’m so glad I did, because I made two wonderful friends in the process. One is Kimberley, a fan of Jamison’s since the 80’s. She signed my guestbook, and we became fast friends. It was through Kimberley that I got in touch first with Jamison’s father (a truly great man whom I have the utmost respect for), and then with Jamison, whom I consider to be the other friend I’ve made in this website endeavor. Kimberley had written to Jamison all those years ago, and Jamison’s father remembered her when the two of us decided to try contacting him. The rest, as they say, is history, but I really must give as many kudos and credits to Kimberley as humanly possible. If it weren’t for her, I might not have made contact with the Newlanders, and this site wouldn’t be what it is today.
Jamison and I have grown to be good friends over the past few years. I think we’re a lot alike in that we’re both scattered over several open projects at a time and tend to lose our focus, and that we don’t want to make the other feel like we’re bossing the other around. We bounce around ideas for the site, and then we both get distracted by other things in our lives, and then weeks go by and we realize that we still haven’t done what we planned to do. Then, of course, we have to laugh at ourselves, but I think we eventually do get everything done. You, as the visitor, must forgive us, and we hope we have your patience.
About the Webmaster: My name is Samantha. I first saw The Lost Boys in 1990, on the weekend following my fifteenth birthday. My friends threw me a party, and we watched the movie together. Naturally I didn’t get much out of it, with all that teenage chatter, so I had to sneak my uncle’s copy later (technically I wasn’t supposed to be watching it because it was an R-rated film) and watched it by myself. Obviously, I loved it. There’s something about this movie that really captures the imagination.
I’m a writer; I’ve been creating characters and stories probably since birth, and have been writing them down since I first learned how. I have one book published; it’s a Young Adult (Christian) novel called “Planning it Right,” and it’s the first in a series called Finding Faith. Also, you may remember a Lost Boys fanfic series called The Frog Chronicles; I was the author, and I’m writing an all-original series called Wilder Side, loosely based on that.
If you really want to know more about me, go to the main site, wilderfaith.com. You’ll find links to my writing and my blog there. I also run a website for Kimberley, who is a brilliant Young Adult author. You’ll find a link to her website there as well. Incidentally, I sometimes mention what’s coming to this site in my blog, so you may want to keep your eye on that. Just check my blog categories for relevant posts.
